The Workshop “PANAGIA ELEOUSA” was innovative by creating two independent departments of training people with autism, which are integrated in the operation of the Day Care Centres of the Workshop “PANAGIA ELEOUSA’ in Agrinio and Messolonghi. There was the imperative need to have two separate departments, since the Workshop “PANAGIA ELEOUSA”, up to 2014, already provided services to 18 people with autism. The aim of these departments is to assure to the person with autism a pleasant place, serene and at the same time structured, in order the implementation of the training and therapeutic programmes to respect their individuality and to contribute to the transition of “I” to “we”.
 
Their operation, contributed the people with autism to develop themselves provided that there is a specialist-experienced trainer. The operation of the department relieved their families, with the specialized training that they receive and it contributed to the better and of higher quality operation of the Organisation. To the creation of this department the financial aid by the President of the “Charity Association of Ladies” of Etoloakarnania Prefecture contributed significantly.
